Wednesday 6th August – Requiem Mass in memory of Fr John Hughes (1978-2014).The Choir will sing the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré and Fr John Henton will preach.

Rev Dr John Hughes was a much loved Curate here at St Michael’s and St David’s churches in Exeter from 2005-2009. He celebrated his first Mass in St Michael & All Angels, Mount Dinham in July 2006. In 2009 John returned to Cambridge as Chaplain of Jesus College, becoming Dean of Chapel in 2011.

He was admired and will be greatly missed, not only for his theological insight and teaching, but even more so for his pastoral care and friendship to parishioners, students and all whom he met. John was born and brought up in Kenton, Devon.
