Sunday 13th September, join us at St Michael’s for the annual celebration of England’s fantastic architecture and culture for the national Heritage Open Days. There will be Low Mass at 10.45am. All are warmly welcome to visit and view this Victorian Gothic gem on Mount Dinham just outside the City Walls.
The Church will be open on Sunday 13th from 10am-6pm, and also on Saturday 12th from 9am-6pm.
Sunday morning, 13th Sept at 10am in Exeter Cathedral, sees the Ordination as Deacon of Chris Durrant to work & train at St David’s & St Michael’s churches as our new Curate. Our former Director of Music, Dr Steve Martin, will also be ordained Deacon at the same service, to minister in Tavistock, and so will one of our Lecturers this year, Prof Morwenna Ludlow, to be a Deacon at the Cathedral. There will be a number of non-reserved seats at the Cathedral Ordination Service if you wish to attend, but you would do well to arrive early.
From 6pm, there will be a Sung Mass and Party at St Michael’s, to welcome Chris and his wife Jenny to the Parish and Community. All are welcome. This is a whole Parish Service at which Canon Tom Honey will be Celebrant and newly ordained Chris will be Deacon.
