Location – the church is situated on Mount Dinham and lies just outside the city of Exeter’s ancient walls, within the county of Devon in the South West of England. You can get to St. Michael’s going east along St. David’s Hill or by walking under the Iron bridge and up the bank onto Dinham Road. The church has good transport links and is less than 10 minutes’ walk Exeter Central Station and the High Street. It’s about 15 mins walk from Exeter St David’s Railway Station and Exeter Bus Station.

Getting here - we encourage visitors to arrive on foot, by bicycle or by public transport where possible. Unfortunately, the Grade 1 listed Iron Bridge which links Mount Dinham to the the City centre is currently closed for refurbishment. Click here for more information.

Parking - for nearby car parks, use this link (zoom 3 times and drag map SE) – Exeter Car Parks. Nearby car parks include those at Mary Arches Street on Bartholomew Street East or Bystock Terrace. To park at St Michael’s, please use a pink parking permit available at the rear of the church to display inside your vehicle. Please park in the bays on the south side of the church or on the opposite side of the road (facing the south side of the church).

Access - as a Victorian Grade 1 listed building, the main access into St Michael’s church involves steps. Temporary ramps can be positioned to allow smooth wheelchair access through the West Doors. Please contact the Church Warden in advance of your visit or the stewards on duty if you require wheelchair access and we will be happy to help you.
