Heritage Lectures at St David’s

Hosted by: St David's Church

At St David’s Church, on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm, there is a series of Heritage Lectures about the Church and its churchyard as part of the St David’s Transformation Project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

April 21st – The Revd Harri Williams from St David’s Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, on St David, his Ministry and Influence.

Presentation by Revd Harri Williams of Icon of St David.

Please support these knowledgeable and enthusiastic speakers as work to secure the future of the building and community life of St David’s gets under way.

The Lectures are open to all, there is no ticketing, and they are free, with the opportunity to make a voluntary donation towards the repair and transformation work at St David’s church. Refreshments are served afterwards.  Access to the church is by the North door from the steps near the corner of Hele Road and Queens Terrace.

About 60 people attended the first lecture by Prof Jeremy Black on the Battle of Waterloo.

February 18th – Professor Jeremy Black of Exeter University on The Battle of Waterloo.

March 3rd – Robert Pocock on General Alexander Cavalie Mercer, hero of Waterloo, who is buried in St David’s churchyard.

March 10th – Dr Todd Gray on the Veitch family, Exeter horticulturalists.

(I will update the date for this Event with each Lecture.)
