This week: Conversion to Christian asceticism Conff. 8-9. The group meets from 7 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. to discuss the Confessions of Saint Augustine of Hippo (354 – 430 A.D.), every Wednesday during Lent.

All dates: March 12th, 19th, 26th, April 2nd, 9th.

Oliver is a retired professor of Classics and Mediaeval Studies. He was the General Editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Late Antiquity and also a long standing member of the choir and congregation of S. Michael’s Mount Dinham.

Note that the Council has closed the Iron Bridge to traffic while repairs proceed. Car access to Mount Dinham is therefore only possible from the North. though it is possible to go on foot under the Iron Bridge to the Dinham Road junction.
